Burton, Groff, O’Horgan, Pierce Set for Alzheimer’s Association Gala
Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce will host the Alzheimer Association’s annual Forget-Me-Not Gala, to be held on Monday, June 2 at the Hotel Pierre.
The group’s Public Awareness Award will be given to Broadway director Tom O’Horgan, who suffers from the disease; the Creative Leadership Award will be given to actress Kate Burton for her work on the ABC-TV series Grey’s Anatomy, and Dr. Karen Bell will also be honored for her innovative work.
Jonathan Groff, who will star this summer in the Public Theater’s production of Hair — which was originally directed by O’Horgan — will give a special performance at the event.
