CBS’ The Early Show will broadcast a six-day series “My Broadway Debut”, May 29-June 5, which will culminate in two college drama students getting walk-on roles in a Broadway musical. The show, which is hosted by Julie Chen, Hannah Storm, Rene Syler, and Harry Smith, is broadcast weekday mornings from 7am-9am EST.

For this special contest, CBS News producers and Broadway casting director Bernie Telsey have selected 10 drama students, five women and five men, from Northwestern University, Wagner College, University of Michigan, University of Arizona, and Florida State University to participate.

Each day, one male-female pair will perform a number from such Broadway musicals as The Wedding Singer, Hairspray, Rent, Avenue Q, Chicago, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Each presentation will be introduced by a star from the appropriate show.

Starting on June 2, viewers can log onto www.CBSNews.com to vote for their favorite male and female finalist. The winning pair will return to The Early Show on June 5 for a final performance and to be awarded a walk-on role in one of the featured musicals.
