Richard Kind to Host Theatre Museum Awards Ceremony

Richard Kind will host the 2009-2010 Theatre Museum Awards ceremony, to be held on May 17 at The Players Club.

As previously announced, the Academy and Grammy Award-winning Sherman Brothers will receive the Theatre Museum’s Career Achievement Award at the event. Among the other honors to be presented at the ceremony are the Theatre Museum Arts Education Award, which will be presented to Samuel French Inc., and the Theatre History Preservation Award, which will go to the Mint Theatre. Presenters will include Disney Theatrical Group president Tom Schumacher, Tappan Wilder, and actor George Morfogen.

Kind’s stage credits include The Producers, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Bounce, and he is well known for his work on the TV series Spin City and Mad About You.
