The Paley Center for Media will celebrate the multi-decade television career of Oscar and Tony, award-winning actor Joel Grey with An Evening with Joel Grey, on Tuesday, April 27.
Grey will discuss the important role television has played in his career, from his earliest appearances in the 1950’s on series with Steve Allen and Eddie Cantor, to his Emmy-nominated turn on CBS’s Brooklyn Bridge to more recent performances on Oz, House, and Grey’s Anatomy. The evening will feature a video retrospective of the actor’s most memorable (and some rarely seen) television work. A private dinner with Mr. Grey will immediately follow the presentation.
Grey won a Tony for the original Broadway production of Cabaret, and an Academy Award for its film version. He was also Tony-nominated for his work in George M!, Goodtime Charley, and The Grand Tour. His additional Broadway credits include Wicked, Chicago, and Half a Sixpence.
