George Innes to Star in Tribute: John Gielgud’s Ages of Man

George Innes will offer a one-night-only performance of his solo show Tribute: John Gielgud’s Ages of Man at the Jewel Box Theatre at the Workshop Theatre Group on May 1 at 8pm.

The piece combines Shakespeare’s sonnets and soliloquies with the letters of Sir John Gielgud. Innes performed the show at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival and in London at The Barons Court Theatre this year.

Two-time Emmy Award nominee Innes is perhaps best known for his work on such series as Upstairs, Downstairs, I, Claudius, M.A.S.H., and Hill Street Blues. His stage credits include Othello, Dutch Courtesan, Hobson’s Choice, Mother Courage, as well as the original productions of Jumpers and Bedroom Farce. In New York, he’s been seen in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice on Broadway and in The Lodger Off-Broadway.

The performance will be offered free-of-charge. For reservations, call 732-450-9947 or email: mairemartello@mindspring.com
