Lewis Cleale and Christine Ebersole will join previously announced stars Amber Edwards, Jason Graae, and Margaret Whiting in Johnny Mercer at the Movies, part of the 92nd Street Y’s Lyrics and Lyricists series, May 6-8. Sylvia McNair, who was originally announced to participate, has withdrawn due to illness.

The evening will be hosted by CBS newscaster Charles Osgood, and the artistic director is author and theater historian Robert Kimball. The program will salute Mercer, who wrote lyrics to more than 1,200 songs in his career, including such popular Hollywood favorites as “On the Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe,” “In the Cool, Cool, Cool of the Evening,” and “Days of Wine and Roses,” all of which won the Academy Award for Best Song.

Cleale appeared on Broadway in Swinging On a Star and Amour. Ebersole won the Tony Award for 42nd Street and is currently starring Off-Broadway in Grey Gardens.

Tickets to the show are $45-$55 and can be ordered by calling 212-415-5500 or online at www.92Y.org.
