Bikel, Feldshuh, Kaye, Nimoy, Zaks, et al. Set for Folksbiene Gala

Theodore Bikel, Tovah Feldshuh, Judy Kaye, Leonard Nimoy, and Jerry Zaks are among the celebrities scheduled to appear in Broadway Salutes Yiddish, a benefit for the Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre that will take place at 7:30pm on Monday, June 12 at The Town Hall (126 West 43rd Street).
The event will also feature appearances by Robert Paul Abelson, Bruce Adler, Mina Bern, Joanne Borts, Fyvush Finkel, Sheldon Harnick, Avi Hoffman, Eleanor Reissa, Lori Wilner, the Zalmen Flotek/Frank London Orchestra, and the Billy Joel Band featuring original cast members from the shows Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia!, and Movin’ Out.
Producers Emanuel Azenberg, Richard Frankel, and Harold Prince will act as the gala’s honorary co-chairs. The event will honor Bel Kaufman, the author of the best-selling novel Up the Down Staircase, as well as painter-filmmaker Mira Van Doren and financier Feliks Frenkel.
