Atkins, Bosco, Easton, Ebersole, Leonard to Join Alan Bennett for NYPL Reading

Eileen Atkins, Philip Bosco, Richard Easton, Christine Ebersole, and Robert Sean Leonard will join playwright Alan Bennett for a free reading of scenes from his works at 6pm on Monday, April 24 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Tickets (one per person) will be distributed beginning at 4pm that day.

The program, to be directed by Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, will feature excerpts from such plays as Forty Years On, Kafka’s Dick, The Lady in the Van, Single Spies, and The Madness of King George. Bennett’s play The History Boys is currently in previews at the Broadhurst Theatre.

In addition, Bennett will appear at the library at 3pm on Sunday, April 22 to read from his new book Untold Stories, a collection of essays, reviews, comic pieces, and memoirs of his family and his youth in England.
