Academy Award winner and Broadway veteran Christopher Walken attended a recent preview performance of Kenyetta Lethridge's Innocent Flesh at the Actors Temple Theatre. The play opens tonight, March 15.
The play, which is directed by Lethridge, explores the issue and realities of sexual exploitation, forced teen prostitution & trafficking of young children all across America. The company features Daphne Gabriel, Clara Gabrielle, Jameelah Nuriddin, and Angelina Prendergast. Michael Mann and Diana Zollicoffer serves as producers.
Walken won the Oscar for his role as a troubled Vietnam veteran in The Deer Hunter and received a nomination for Catch Me If You Can. Additional film roles include Wilbur Turnblad in the film version of Hairspray. Broadway credits include A Behanding in Spokane, The Climate of Eden, Hurlyburly, The Merchant of Venice, and James Joyce's The Dead.
