The national tour of The 101 Dalmatians Musical will close following its April 7-18 run at the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden, according to published reports. Subsequent to its New York performances, the tour had been scheduled to play engagements in such cities as Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, and San Diego.

Adapted from Dodie Smith’s 1957 novel (which is well known due to Disney’s beloved animated film version), 101 Dalmatians revolves around a canine family that must band together to overcome every hurdle and hardship in the most difficult times, including the machinations of Cruella de Vil. The tour is directed by Jerry Zaks and features a score by Dennis DeYoung and a book by B.T. McNicholl.

Sara Gettelfinger, who joined the tour in mid-February, stars as Cruella De Vil in a company which also features Chip Abbott, Joel Blum, Sammy Borla, Lakisha Anne Bowen, Jeff Scot Carey, Kristy Cavanaugh, Lydia Rose Clemente, Piper Curda, Joseph Dellger, Madeleine Doherty, Garrett Hawe, Michael Thomas Holmes, Robert Anthony Jones, Kevin C.
