The play centers on a woman, who, having been blind since she was an infant, has her eyesight restored. The cast includes Jonathan Hogan, Geraldine Hughes, and Ciarán O'Reilly.

Sacks is the author of To See or Not to See, which inspired Friel to write this play. His other books include Awakening and The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat.
