Tony Award-winning producer Stuart Thompson will receive the Commercial Theater Institute's Robert Whitehead Award at a reception at Sardi's Restaurant on Tuesday, March 9.

The award recognizes "outstanding achievement in commercial theatre producing," and is named after the late producer Robert Whitehead, who died in 2002.

Thompson is currently represented on Broadway by A View from the Bridge and God of Carnage, the latter of which won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play.
