Three Edinburgh Festival Hits Set to Play NYC

Three hit shows from the 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe will have brief New York City runs starting next week.

Floating put on by the British theater company Hoipolloi, will play the Barrow Street Theatre, February 28-March 3. The show tells the story of Hugh Hughes, who was preparing to leave his home from the Welsh isle of Anglesey, when an earthquake hit and the island was torn away from the mainland.

The two other offerings will play PS 122. Particularly in the Heartland, February 26-March 18, asks such questions as “What if Robert F. Kennedy had survived his assassination; Goodness, written by Michael Redhill and directed by Ross Manson, will play March 1-11. The show is described as a genre-bending meditation on genocide. It won the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award.
