The full cast and creative team have been announced for the New Group’s production of The Accomplices, a new play by New York Times reporter Bernard Weinraub, scheduled to run March 20-May 5 at the Acorn Theater. The show, to be directed by Ian Morgan, will open officially on April 9.

The play is based on the true story of Hillel Kook, who arrived in the U.S. at the beginning of World War II, fresh from the underground resistance to the British in Palestine. Under the alias Peter Bergson, he led a small group of activists seeking aid for the rescue of the Jews in Europe, but found his efforts blocked by the Roosevelt administration and the Jewish establishment.

The cast includes Catherine Curtin, Jon DeVries, Robert Hogan, Zoe Lister-Jones, David Margulies, Andrew Polk, Daniel Sauli, Mark Zeisler, and Mark Zimmerman; the creative team includes Beowulf Boritt (sets), Theresa Squire (costumes), Jeff Croiter (lighting), and Matt Sherwin (sound).
