Tom Hewitt to Join Victoria Clark and Boyd Gaines in Reading of When Ladies Meet

Tom Hewitt will join previously announced stars Victoria Clark and Boyd Gaines in a reading of Rachel Crothers’s 1932 comedy When Ladies Meet at 7pm on Monday, February 27 at The Culture Project.

Part of the Acting Company’s Salon Series, the reading will be directed by Tony Award winner Melvin Bernhardt. The cast also includes Lauren Hatcher, Marceline Hugo, Angela Pierce, Erika Rolsfrud, Erik Steele, and Spiff Weigand. When Ladies Meet is all about a publisher’s mistress who unwittingly becomes friendly with her paramour’s wife.

Clark is currently starring in The Light in the Piazza, for which she won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Actress. Gaines is a three-time Tony winner for The Heidi Chronicles, She Loves Me, and Contact. Hewitt has starred on Broadway in The Rocky Horror Show, The Boys From Syracuse, and Dracula; he recently concluded a run in Private Lives at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven.
