On Super Bowl Sunday, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Patrick Stewart, Billy Crudup, and Shuler Hensley will hand out free hot chocolate to ticket holders before the matinee of Waiting for Godot at the Cort Theatre. The matinee begins at 2pm, and the four stars will serve up cups of warm deliciousness from 12:45pm to 1:15pm. The show's curtain will come down in plenty of time to see the Super Bowl, but after such a great start to the day, who cares?

Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot plays in repertory with Harold Pinter's No Man's Land. In the Beckett play, McKellen and Stewart portray the wandering tramps Estragon and Vladimir, with Hensley as the blustery Pozzo and Crudup as his servile companion, Lucky. In the Pinter play, Stewart takes on the role of lonely writer Spooner, with McKellen as the mysterious Hirst, Crudup as Foster, and Hensley as Briggs.

Sean Mathias directs the plays. Designs for the productions include sets and costumes by Stephen Brimson Lewis and lighting by Tony Award winner Peter Kaczorowski. Stuart Thompson and NOMANGO Productions serve as producers.
