Christine Jorgensen Reveals to Return to NYC for Off-Broadway Engagement

Bradford Louryk’s award-winning solo show, Christine Jorgensen Reveals will return to New York for an Off-Broadway run at the Lion Theatre, February 19-March 15, with an opening set for February 26. Josh Hecht will direct.

In the show, Louryk performs to an actual taped interview of Jorgensen, who made headlines in the 1950s as the first American transsexual. The show received a Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience, as well as the Hilton Edwards Award for Outstanding Production, the Michael MacLiammoir Award for Best Actor, and nominations for GLAAD Media and IRNE awards.

Rob Grace appears on screen as the interviewer, with the design team including Mary Ping (costumes), Wilson Chin (scenery), Josh Bradford (Lighting), Rob Kaplowitz (sound), and Kevin French (projections).

Louryk’s other theater credits include his solo shows Klytaemnestra’s Unmentionables and Lukrezia Borgia, as well as acting roles in redbird, The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, First You’re Born, and Jewish Mothers.
