Primary Stages will present the New York premieres of plays by Horton Foote, Michael Hollinger, and Willy Holtzman during its 2007-2008 season. Specific dates, as well as the fourth play of the season, will be announced later.
Foote's Dividing the Estate is a 13-character comedy about a family that must confront its past as it prepares for its future. Hollinger's Opus, which had major success in Philadelphia, is about a world-renowned string quartet whose founder disappears right before a high-profile performance and is replaced by a young woman whose gifts inspire the group to abandon their planned program. Holtzman's Something You Did tells the story of a former 1960s radical who is eligible for parole after serving nearly 30 years in jail for the accidental killing of an African-American police officer.
