Richard Thomas will play Juror #8 in the national tour of the Roundabout Theater Company’s production of Twelve Angry Men, which will kick off on September 19 at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven. No other casting or itinerary has yet been announced for the 30-week tour.

As at the Roundabout, the show will be directed by Scott Ellis and the design team will include Allen Moyer (sets), Michael Krass (costumes), Paul Palazzo (lights), and Brian Ronan (sound).

Thomas has been cast in the role played by Boyd Gaines in the Roundabout’s Broadway production and Henry Fonda in the famed movie version. He most recently appeared on Broadway in the Roundabout’s A Naked Girl on the Appian Way; his many New York stage credits include Democracy, As You Like It, The Stendhal Syndrome, and Tiny Alice. In 1972, Thomas won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of John-Boy on the hit TV series The Waltons.
