Phylicia Rashad to Engage in Smart Talk at New Jersey’s State Theatre

Tony Award winner Phylicia Rashad will participate in the Smart Talk Connected Conversations series at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, New Jersey at 8pm on Monday, June 1.

Rashad won the Tony for A Raisin in the Sun and also played the role of Lena Younger in the ABC telefilm. Her many other stage credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Gem of the Ocean, Cymbeline, Jelly’s Last Jam, Dreamgirls and The Wiz. She is well known for her television work on The Cosby Show and Cosby. She recently took over the role of Violet Weston in the Broadway production of August: Osage County.
