Sting Receives CMT Music Awards Nomination

Broadway veteran and Grammy Award winner Sting has received a nomination for the 11th annual CMT Music Awards for his video of “If I Ever Lose My Faith in You” with Vince Gill.

The awards, which honor the best country music videos, are voted on by fans through the network’s website. They will be announced on a live television show on Wednesday, June 6, to take place in Nashville.


Among the many other nominees are Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Thompson Square, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood.


Sting appeared on Broadway as Macheath in the 1989 revival of Threepenny Opera and appeared opposite his wife, Trudie Styler, in a benefit staged reading of Twin Spirits. He recently co-wrote the musical The Last Ship with Tony Award winner Brian Yorkey.
