Full Cast, Creative Team Set for Guthrie’s Peer Gynt

Full cast and creative team have been announced Guthrie Theater’s upcoming production of Henrik Ibsen’s Peer Gynt, which will run January 12-March 2. The play, to be directed by Tim Carroll, will open officially January 18.

Ibsen’s fantasy play captures the misadventures of the charismatic Peer Gynt on a journey to find his place in the world. It will be presented in a newly commissioned translation by poet Robert Bly.

In addition to previously announced star Mark Rylance, the company will feature Matthew Amendt, Richard S. Iglewski, Jim Lichtscheidl, Michelle O’Neill, Jonas Goslow, Isabell Monk O’Conner, Tracey Maloney, Bill McCallum, Tyson Forbes, Maha Chehlaoui, Miriam Silverman, Marisa Jacobus, Jake Speikers, Richard Ooms, Catherine Johnson Justice, Phyllis Wright, Mac Rasmus, and Alexis Gaither.

The creative team includes Laura Hopkins (sets and costumes), Stan Pressner (lighting), Scott Edwards (sound), and Claire Van Kampen (music composition).
