Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Stephanie Mills, et al. Set for 2011 Essence Music Festival

An initial lineup of performers has been announced for the 2011 Essence Music Festival to be held July 1-3 in New Orleans. This year’s event will celebrate the roots of R&B.

Among the artists scheduled to appear during the course of the Festival are stage veterans Fantasia and Stephanie Mills. The Festival will also feature performances from Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan, Eric Benet, Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz, Jill Scott, Charlie Wilson, Boyz II Men, George Clinton, and Macy Gray.
