Cloris Leachman to Host Heritage Pointe Fundraiser, Sign Copies of New Autobiography

Oscar, Golden Globe, and Emmy Award-winning actress Cloris Leachman will host the 2009 annual fundraiser luncheon for Heritage Pointe, a non-profit retirement and assisted-living community in Orange County, to be held at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine on April 6 beginning at 11:45 am.

She will offer a personal perspective on her expansive career in Hollywood and beyond, and sign copies of her new autobiography, Cloris. Proceeds from the event will raise funds for scholarships that support senior residents who cannot always afford the cost of living at Heritage Pointe.

Leachman’s Broadway credits include A Story for a Sunday Evening (which earned her a Theater World Award), The Crucible, Sunday Breakfast, and King of Hearts. Her many film credits include a memorable turn as Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein. She was most recently seen on television as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

Tickets are $75. For more information, visit www.heritagepointe.org.
