The Blank Theatre Company has announced its 2009-2010 season.

David Sedaris’ comic look at the world of a man playing one of Santa’s elves at Macy’s, The Santaland Diaries (November 20 – December 20), will be the company’s first offering. The Blank will then give Christopher Durang’s contemporary absurdist comedy Why Torture Is Wrong, and the People Who Love Them (January 20 – March 14) its West Coast premiere.

The Blank’s third offering will be Michael John LaChiusa’s triptych of short musicals See What I Wanna See (April 10 – May 23). And the theater’s season will wind down with its 18th Annual Young Playwrights Festival (June 3-27).
