Helena Bonham Carter to Receive BAFTA Los Angeles’ Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year

Helena Bonham Carter will receive the Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) at a ceremony to be held on Wednesday, November 30 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Carter received Academy Award nominations for her work in The King’s Speech and The Wings of the Dove. Among her many other many other film credits are Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland, the Harry Potter series, Lady Jane, A Room with a View, Howard’s End, and Twelfth Night.

Her stage credits include The Woman in White, The Chalk Garden, The House of Bernarda Alba, and Trelawny of the Wells.

In addition to Carter, the honorees at the ceremony will include John Lasseter who will receive the Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Filmed Entertainment, and David Yates who will be honored with the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing.
