The Pasadena Playhouse has announced revisions to its 2008-2009 season. Two more plays are still to be announced.

As previously reported, Lauren Kennedy, Sarah Stiles, and Anneliese van der Pol will star in the pre-Broadway engagement of Vanities, a new musical by Jack Heifner and David Kirshenbaum, to run August 22-September 28. Tony Award winner Judith Ivey will direct the show.

That will be followed by The Lady With All the Answers, David Rambo’s show about advice columnist Ann Landers (October 17-November 23); Sharleen Cooper’s Stormy Weather, a musical biodrama about Lena Horne starring Leslie Uggams (January 23-February 28); and Theresa Rebeck’s thriller Mauritius (March 20-April 26).

Damaso Rodriguez will direct a revival of Lillian Hellman’s dysfunctional family drama The Little Foxes (May 15-June 21) and Sheldon Epps will helm Charles Randolph-Wright’s new drama The Night Is a Child (September 4-October 11), about a woman’s journey of discovery in Brazil.
