Samuel L. Jackson and Neil LaBute are developing a new drama for Showtime, according to a report in Variety. Jackson will serve as executive producer and LaBute will serve as the writer of the as-yet-untitled project.

The drama will revolve around a white supremacist family in the Pacific Northwest.

Jackson received an Academy Award nomination for Pulp Fiction. He can currently be seen on screen as Nick Fury in Iron Man 2, a role he created in Iron Man and one which he'll repeat in the upcoming Captain America and The Avengers movies. Among his many other film credits are Freedomland, Kill Bill 2, Any Given Wednesday, Jurassic Park, and Patriot Games. In addition to his screen work, Jackson was a member of the original Broadway company of August Wilson's The Piano Lesson.

LaBute's many plays include reasons to be pretty, Fat Pig, Some Girl(s), and Wrecks. For the screen, he's written adaptations of his plays bash and The Shape of Things as well as The Wicker Man, Nurse Betty, and Lakeview Terrace, which he directed and which starred Jackson.
