Gordon Clapp, Jack Lauffer, Adam Wylie et al. Set for Blank’s Young Playwrights Festival

Casting has been announced for The Blank Theatre Company’s 17th annual Nationwide Young Playwrights Festival, a month-long Festival of 12 plays by teenaged playwrights, aged 15 -19 from across the United States. The festival will play at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, June 4-28.

Celebrity participants will include film and TV actors from shows such as Star Trek, Twilight, The Uninvited, Crash, The Parent Trap, Desperate Housewives, Harper’s Island, Criminal Minds, Huff, E.R., My Name Is Earl, and Generation Kill, as well as Broadway shows such as Wicked, Glengarry Glen Ross, and Into the Woods.

“Week One” (June 4 -7) will feature Emmy Award-winner Gordon Clapp, Jack Lauffer, Elaine Hendrix, Adam Wylie, and Spencer Daniels. “Week Two” (June 11-14) will feature Nicholas Brendon, Hallee Hirsch, Dale Dickey and Meredith Monroe. Arielle Kebbel, Michael Welch and Gregg Ellis star in “Week Three” (June 18-21), and the Festival will conclude with “Week Four” (June 25-28) with D.B. Sweeney, Todd Grinnell, Jim Beaver, Eric Nenninger, Rhea Seehorn, and Tom Lenk.

This year’s Festival will also feature the work of E.M. Lewis, David Holstein, Barbara Bain, Jonathan Tolins, Austin Winsberg, Adam Belanoff, Mark Saltzman, Daniel Henning, and April Webster in directing and mentoring roles.
