Claire Danes, James Marsden Set for As Cool As I Am Movie

Stage and screen veteran Claire Danes will star with James Marsden in As Cool As I Am, according to a report in New York Magazine. Max Mayer will direct the picture.
Based on Peter Fromm’s coming-of-age novel, the movie focuses on a teenage girl, her troubled mother (Danes), and her often-absent father (Marsden).
Danes won an Emmy Award, among many other honors, for her work in the title role of HBO’s Temple Grandin. On stage, she has appeared in Pygmalion, The Vagina Monologues, Edith & Jenny, and Christina Olson: American Model. She will star in the upcoming Showtime series Homeland and is well known for her work on ABC’s My So-Called Life.
Marsden played the role of Corny Collins in the film Hairspray and recently guest-starred on ABC’s Modern Family.
