Max Leavitt writes, directs, and stars in the world premiere of Last Lion Productions' Dead, Therefore I Am, at The East Theatre at The Complex, April 10-May 24.

This "Goth-Punk comedy" centers around a young man named J.T. Blackwell (Leavitt) on the morning of his 30th birthday, as he scratches into the wall of his broken brain another painful year in a lifetime of deepening depression.

The cast will also include Nicholas Tucci (Anubis), Karen Jean Olds (Sophie), and Nicholas Vitulli (Dr. Beaurieux, Claude Crum, Dr. Licht). Bill Sloggatt and Justin Sloggatt design set and lighting.

Leavitt's stage credits include Mala, The Mercy Seat, Angels in America, and Woyzeck. He was the Bandleader on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly, and additional film and television credits include Wedding Bells, X-Games, Prison Project, and Kill Your Idols.
