Kim Cattrall, Jeremy Irons to Star in The Treehouse Movie

Jeremy Irons and Kim Cattrall will co-star in the movie, The Treehouse, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lajos Koltai is directing the project.

The movie, which has a screenplay by Paul Mayersberg and is based on a novel by German writer Eduard von Keyserling, takes place in pre-World War I Germany and centers on a failed student, his glamorous cousin, her mother and the student’s father. The cast will also include Tom Sturridge.

Irons’ many stage credits include The Real Thing, for which he won the Tony Award, The Winter’s Tale, Richard II, Never So Good, Embers, Impressionism, and A Little Night Music. Irons won an Academy Award for his performance in Reversal of Fortune and the Emmy Award for Elizabeth I.


Cattrall recently starred in the West End in Private Lives. As previously reported, she will be reprising her performance in Toronto this September. She may be best known for her role as Samantha Jones in Sex and the City.
