ICT Announces Cast and Creative Team for The Threepenny Opera

Cast and creative team information has been announced for the International City Theatre production of The Threepenny Opera, set to run at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center with direction by Jules Aaron, February 17-March 22.

Michael Feingold’s translation of this Bertolt Brecht-Kurt Weill musical follows Macheath, “Mack the Knife,” a notorious thief, pimp, and murderer who marries Polly, the daughter of Jonathan Peachum. This dubious wedding sparks a underworld power struggle, the show’s social and political critique of Victorian London.

The production will star Jeff Griggs as Macheath, Shannon Warne as Polly Peachum, and Tom Shelton and Eileen T’Kaye as Mr. and Mrs Peachum. The cast will also feature Rachel Genevieve is Lucy Brown, Zarah Mahler is Jenny Diver, Paul Zegler as Tiger Brown, and rounding out the ensemble are Ceasar F. Barajas, Julie Carrillo, Gabriel Corbin, Daniel Vincent Gordh, Brian Crawford Scott, Jake Wesley Stewart, and Michael Uribes.

The creative team will feature Darryl Archibald (musical direction), Paul Fabre (sound design), John Iacovelli (set design), Shon LeBlanc (costume design), and Jared Sayeg (lighting design).
