Rita Moreno to Offer Two Concerts at Tilles Center on April 24

Rita Moreno will offer two performances in the Hillwood Recital Hall at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on April 24 at 7:30pm and 9:30pm.

During the performance, the awarding-winning artist will reminisce about her life and her career, interweaving anecdotes with Broadway show tunes.

Moreno is the only female performer to have won the Oscar, the Emmy, the Tony, and the Grammy. She won an Academy Award for West Side Story and received a Tony Award for her performance in The Ritz. Among her many other stage credits are She Loves Me, Damn Yankees, Gypsy, and Sunset Boulevard.

Moreno’s two Emmys honored her work on The Muppet Show and The Rockford Files. Her performance on The Electric Company Album for children earned her the Grammy in 1972. In February, President and Mrs. Obama presented the performer with another award: the National Medal for the Arts.
