Gareth Gates will star as Claude in a new UK tour of the hit musical Hair , which will open at the Liverpool Empire on April 9, 2012 and tour through to mid-July, according to Whatsonstage.com.
Hair has book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado and music by Galt MacDermot. The score includes numbers such as “Aquarius”, “Ain’t Got No”, “I Got Life”, “Good Morning Starshine”, “Let the Sun Shine In” and the title song.
Gates first gained fame on the TV show Pop Idol. His stage credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Les Misérables.
