Queen Elizabeth Theatre Company to Set Sail October 2010

The newly formed Queen Elizabeth Theatre Company will debut in October 2010 on the Cunard Line of luxury ocean liners.

Guests will enjoy a new repertoire of shows premiered by the theater company’s 29 singers, dancers, actors and musicians. Among the new shows is Slice of Saturday Night, a nostalgic pastiche of 1960s music adapted especially for the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Company by its original writers, the Heather Brothers.

The company will also present abridged versions of popular plays such as a Neil Simon triple bill (Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Plaza Suite, The Odd Couple) and Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. At the conclusion of each show, the audience may take part in an informal Q&A session with the actors.

Other offerings will include The Piccadilly Line, Hotel Royale, Sing, La Danza, and The Cunard Ball.
