David Mamet’s House of Games, Stephen Dillane in The Master Builder Set for Almeida Theatre’s Fall/Winter Season

The Almeida Theatre has announced the productions that will comprise its fall/winter season.

Richard Bean’s new stage version of David Mamet’s House of Games will run at the theater September 9 – November 6. Lindsay Posner will direct the piece that focuses on a psychoanalyst who compromises her professional reputation as she attempts to help one of her patients settle his gambling debts. The creative team will include production designer Peter McKintosh and lighting designer Paul Pyant. Casting will be announced shortly.

This production will be followed by Henrik Ibsen’s The Master Builder (November 12 – January 8), translated by Kenneth McLeish. Stephen Dillane will star in this production, which will be directed by Travis Preston. Designs will be by Vicki Mortimer with lighting by Paul Pyant and sound by John Leonard. Additional casting will be announced in the near future.
