John Barrowman to Play Title Role in Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates Panto

John Barrowman will play the title role in the pantomime Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates, to run December 17 – January 7 in the Clyde Auditorium at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC).

The show, which will feature new 3D special effects, will be based on Daniel Defoe’s novel about a man stranded on a desert island. The cast will also feature the Scottish comedy duo The Krankies who will play Captain Crusoe and Jimmy Crusoe. The trio starred together last season in the pantomime Aladdin at the SECC.

Barrowman’s many stage credits include La Cage Aux Folles, Robin Hood: The Pantomime Adventure, Company, Anything Goes, and A Few Good Men, and he is well known in the UK for his TV appearances in Torchwood, Doctor Who, How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, Any Dream Will Do, and I’d Do Anything.
