Peter Brook, Robert Lepage, John Malkovich, et al. Set for Coming Season at the Barbican in London

John Malkovich will star in Michael Sturminger’s The Infernal Comedy, based on the true story of Austrian serial killer Jack Unterweger at the Barbican in London, according to a report in The Guardian. Malkovich has previously performed in the piece in Vienna and Toronto.

The production is just one of the many shows that will be seen at the Barbican during the coming year. Other offerings include a production of The Magic Flute, directed by Peter Brook, Robert Lepage’s The Blue Dragon, a new version of Peter Pan from the National Theatre of Scotland, and the Dutch theatre group Toneelgroep Amsterdam’s theatrical adaptation of three Antonioni films.

Musical offerings will range from a performance of “The Planets” by the Houston Symphony, set against the latest video footage from outer space from NASA, to a performance by Wynton Marsalis with the Jazz at Lincoln Center orchestra.
