Drama Desk Award winner and Tony Award nominee Haydn Gwynne, Robert Hardy, and Paul Ritter will join the previously announced Helen Mirren in the cast of Peter Morgan's The Audience, to run February 15-June 15 at the Gielgud Theatre. Stephen Daldry will direct the production.

The play imagines a series of meetings between Queen Elizabeth II (Mirren) and the twelve Prime Ministers who have come and gone during her time at Buckingham Palace.

Gwynne, who will play Margaret Thatcher, was seen on Broadway and the West End in Billy Elliot; Ritter will play John Majorl and Hardy will portray Winston Churchill. Additional casting will be announced in the future.

The production features scenic and costume design by Bob Crowley, lighting by Rick Fisher, sound by Paul Arditti, and video by Ian William Galloway.
