Simon Russell Beale Set for Royal Ballet’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

Simon Russell Beale will play the Duchess in The Royal Ballet’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, to run March 2-15 at the Royal Opera House, according to a report in The Daily Telegraph. Christopher Wheeldon will choreograph. Beale is currently starring, along with Jonathan Groff, in the West End revival of Ira Levin’s Deathtrap. Among his other recent stage appearances is London Assurance at the National Theatre, opposite Fiona Shaw.
