Beale will open the season in a revival of Peter Nichol's Privates on Parade, running December 1-March 2. He will star as the singing, dancing, and cross-dressing Captain Terri Dennis, who guides Private Steven Flowers through the Malaysian campaign at the end of World War II. The creative team features Paule Constable (lighting design), Denis King (music), Ben Wright (choreography), and Jae Alexander (musical direction).
John Logan's Peter and Alice, starring Dench and Ben Wishaw, will follow, running March 9-June 1. In the new play, Dench stars as Alice Liddell Hargreaves, the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland, who comes face to face with Peter Llewelyn Davies (Wishaw), the inspiration for Peter Pan, at the opening of a Lewis Carroll exhibition in 1932. The design team includes Constable (lighting design) and Adam Cork (composer and sound design).
Radcliffe stars in a revival of Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan, running June 8-August 31. He will play Cripple Billy, an orphan who dreams of escaping the Isle of Aran for the bright lights of Hollywood. Constable will serve as lighting designer.
Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream follows, running September 7-November 13, starring Sheridan Smith as Titania and David Walliams as Bottom. Constable will design the lighting.
The season concludes with Jude Law in the title role of Shakespeare's Henry V, running November 23-February 15. The design team features Neil Austin (lighting design).
Each performance will set aside 200 tickets that will be sold for £10.
