Complete casting has been announced for Lend Me a Tenor The Musical, which will begin previews on June 2 at the West End’s Gielgud Theatre, in anticipation of an official opening on June 15. Ian Talbot will direct the production, which will feature choreography by Randy Skinner, music supervision by Paul Gemignani, and musical direction by Colin Billing.

Based on Ken Ludwig’s play of the same name, the show, with book and lyrics by Peter Sham and music by Brad Carroll, centers on the convoluted preparations a small opera company undergoes to present a production of Otello, featuring a temperamental star in the title role.

In addition to the previously reported Matthew Kelly (Henry Saunders), Damian Humbley (Max), Michael Matus (Tito Merelli), and Sophie-Louise Dann (Diana Divane), the company will feature Joanna Riding (Maria Marelli) and Cassidy Janson (Maggie Saunders), along with Gay Soper, Jane Quinn and Michelle Bishop as the Ladies of the Opera Guild.

The ensemble will include Jemma Alexander, Karen Aspinall, Natasha J. Barnes, Nick Butcher, Kelly Chinery, Sharon Eckman, Daniel Farrow, Andrew Keelan, Kara Lane, Connor McAllister, Haydn Oakley, Stephen Oliver-Webb, Ryan Pidgen, Jeremy Secomb, Emma Sewell, John Stacey, Robert Traynor, and Michelle White.

The production will be designed by Paul Farnsworth, with lighting by Tim Mitchell, and sound by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster.
