Kristin Hanggi to Direct Surf the Musical at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino

Surf the Musical, a new musical featuring songs from The Beach Boys, is set to play Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino this summer. Rock of Ages director Kristin Hanggi will direct.

Surf the Musical features dancers and singers performing the legendary hit songs of America’s band, as they tell a carefree story of good vibrations set in a nostalgic, happy times of the 1960s Southern California beach community.

The creative team will include Beowulf Boritt (set design), Howell Binkley (lighting design), Gregory Gale (costume design), Darrel Maloney (projection design), and RJ Durell and Nick Florez (choreography). Musical direction will be by Ed Hamilton.
