Lincoln Theatre Announces Complete Cast for Javon Johnson’s Sanctified

The Lincoln Theatre has announced complete casting for Javon Johnson’s Sanctified, to run October 21-November 14. Derrick Sanders will direct the production, which will have original music by Rollo A Dilworth.

The play focuses on a Baptist church that has fallen on hard times and the ways in which its ambitious pastor and his congregation attempt to save it.

The company will feature John McClure, Jr. as Pastor Harold P. Jones and Mary Millben as Sister Pauletta Denise Jones, with Almonica Caldwell (Clara), Jessica Frances Dukes (Thelma), Elllis Foster (Bobby), Ashley Jeudy (Monique), Joshua Nelson (Mister), William T. Newman, Jr. (Sir), Frederick Strother (Deacon), and Kasaun T. Wilson (Jamal).

The creative team will include Raymond D. Reeder (musical direction), Tony Cisek (scenic design), Reggie Ray (costume design), William H. Grant III (lighting design), and Elisheba Ittoop (sound design).
