Leslie Kritzer to Join Phylicia Rashad, et al. in Arena Stage’s every tongue confess

Leslie Kritzer will co-star alongside Tony Award winner Phylicia Rashad in the Arena Stage production of Marcus Garvey’s every tongue confess, running November 9-January 2. The production will be directed by Kenny Leon.

The play is set in the backwater town of Boligee, Alabama, where the summer heat is rising higher, driving the townsfolk to distraction and conjuring the spirits of the past to walk the earth.

As previously reported, the cast will include Jason Dirden (Shadrack), Jim Ireland (Stocker Pride), Autumn Hurlbert (Benny Pride), E. Roger Mitchell (Deacon/Tidings), Crystal Fox (Sister/Reporter), Eugene Lee (Brother/Jeremiah), and John Earl Jelks (Blacksmith/Bobby).

The creative team will include Tom Lynch (scenic design), Ilona Somogyi (costume design), Allen Lee Hughes (lighting design), Dwight Andrews (original music), and Tim Thompson (sound design).

Kritzer’s many stage credits include Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair, Legally Blonde, The Memory Show, POP! , Rooms A Rock Romance, On The Town, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, and Bat Boy.
