Liza Minnelli to Perform at Stamford Center for the Arts Gala on March 30

Tony Award winner Liza Minnelli will give a benefit concert as part of The Stamford Center for the Arts/Palace Theatre’s 3rd Annual Palace Gala on Friday, March 30 at 8pm. Proceeds will benefit the Stamford Center for the Arts Education Program.


As part of the Gala, Minnelli will receive the Arts Legacy Award, and Michael L. Widland and Moira K. Lyons will receive the Arts Ovation Award.


Minnelli’s most recent Broadway show, Liza’s at the Palace, won a 2009 Tony for Best Special Theatrical Event. She also won Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical for Flora the Red Menace and The Act. She won the Academy Award for Cabaret and the Emmy Award for Liza With a “Z”.
