Nancy Anderson, Casey Nicholaw, et al. Set for Goodspeed’s Festival of New Artists

Goodspeed Opera House will present its 7th Annual Festival of New Artists January 13-15.

The festival will kick off with a staged reading of the soulful musical Harmony, Kansas on January 13. On January 14, Not Wanted on the Voyage will debut, a new musical fromNeil Bartram and Brian Hill, the team who wrote the Goodspeed to Broadway musical The Story of My Life. On the final day of the festival, the musical The Dogs of Pripyat, the story of the animals left behind after the Chernobyl disaster, will be presented.

The weekend will also include several break-out sessions with theater artists, including one with Noël Coward Cabaret Award Winner Nancy Anderson; a book signing with Peter Filichia for Broadway Musical MVPs; a Festival Cabaret; a preview of the new musical headed to Goodspeed’s Norma Terris Theatre in 2012; a panel discussion with Casey Nicholaw, the Co-Director of the Tony Award-winning musical Book of Mormon; the Festival Dinner; and a Meet the Writers Reception.
