Warren Carlyle, Darius de Haas, Jerry DIxon, Matthew Scott, et al. Set for O’Neill Theater Center’s National Music Theater Conference

Casting and directors have been announcef forf this summer’s National Music Theater Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.in Waterford, Connecticut.

Warren Carlyle will direct Buddy’s Tavern (June 26-July 2), which feaatures music by Kim Oler, lyrics by Alison Hubbard, and a book by Raymond De Felitta. The show, based on the film Two Family House, is set in the 1950’s and tells the story of an Italian-American factory worker on Staten Island, and his quest to run a bar where he can sing his heart out to his customers. The cast will feature Allison Briner, Darius de Haas, Jordan Gelber, Michaela Koerner, Jodie Langel, William Parry, Steve Routman, and Lindsey Van Winkle.

Yasmin Alers, Ken Barnett, Clifton Duncan, George Farmer, Ryan Link, Leenya Rideout, Brad Simmons, and Paul Oakley Stovall will star in Clear (July 3-9), which “fuses music, memory and pure love to remind us how best to live life.” The work is written by Stovall, and has additional music by Stew and Heidi Rodewald, Irv Johnson and Stephen Goers.

Angel Desai, Jerry Dixon, Celisse Henderson, Janine LaMana, Matthew Scott, and Bob Stillman will star in Eden (July 10-16), with music by Mel Marvin and book and lyrics by Jonathan Levi. The show, which will be directed by Stuart Ross, centers on six characters in search of survival, who bump up against one another and come away with varying degrees of triumphs and bruises.
