Works by Michael Friedman, Jordan Harrison, Daniel Zaitchik, et al. Set for the O’Neill’s 2011 National Music Theater Conference

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center has announced the four musicals that will be developed and presented during the 2011 National Music Theater Conference, to run June 25 – July 15.

The pieces that will be presented are Daniel Goldstein and Michael Friedman’s exploration of romance that spans two generations, Unknown Soldier (June 25 – July 1); Chris Cragin and Don Chaffer’s comic portrait of an eccentric Appalachian family of musicians, Son Of A Gun (July 2 – July 8); Jordan Harrison and Daniel Zaitchik’s look at the creator of both Wonder Woman and the lie-detector test, and the two real women who inspired him, Suprema (July 9 – July 15); and The Shadow Sparrow (July 7 – July 14), a cabaret musical set in Paris’ Pere LaChaise Cemetery, by Anton Dudley, Charlie Sohne, and Keith Gordon.
